Using Value with Asian Brush Painting

Students welcomed spring by looking at cherry blossom trees blooming locally, in Washington D.C., and in Asian brush paintings. We discussed value in terms of using light and dark elements and practiced painting mountains, trees, bamboo, and dragonflies.
