I am an Adaptive Art Teacher with Fulton County Schools, where I have dedicated over 33 years to fostering creativity and inclusion in the art room. With a background in textile design and a passion for accessible art education, I have helped develop an innovative adaptive art program that empowers PK–12 students of all abilities to express themselves through art. I have been teaching for 26 years in Fulton County. I love teaching art and helping students find joy in making their own art and tapping into their endless well of creativity. I am a proud graduate of Fulton County Schools graduating from Riverwood High School and continuing my education at the University of Colorado, Boulder and Kennesaw State University. I enjoy spending time with my family , taking extra long walks with my mother and her dog Sadie, traveling, lakes and oceans, animals, and sports. I grew up in Atlanta with 5 generations of Golden Retrievers so was always surrounded with bubbly, playful puppies. Watercolor painting and sculpture are my two favorite mediums. Watching children create art and seeing their sense of joy completing a project brings me so much satisfaction.
