Fulton County Adaptive Art

Special Olympics Track and Field 2026 at Centennial HS was a great day for Adaptive Art! Athletes visited the Adaptive Art station between events. They expressed their creativity by decorating paper medals and abstract art panels. There were many happy reunions and smiling faces as teachers got to see former students from many schools. March was Youth Art Month and Exceptional Children's Week all rolled into one! At my schools, I put up an art show to go along with our music show. Students are always so excited to show their parents their work and parents are so impressed by what their students are capable of.

My students studied the work of Lili & Marvin Rosenberg and their ceramic turtles. Then students then created turtles using natural earth air dry clay. After hardening the turtles were primed and painted by each student.
