Fulton County Adaptive Art

We learned about the Japanese Aesthetic, did a critical analysis of several Hokusai prints , composed a Japanese poem called a Haiku where the 3 lines of the poems must have 5-7-5 syllables, did paintings and printmaking with the carp / haiku as focal points.  They also painted a separate piece of Mt. Fuji with cherry blossom branches.

Elementary students learned about real artist clay that comes from the earth. They used clay to make circle slabs and spheres to put together snowmen with ear muffs. They also rolled coils for their carrot noses and some used coils for mouths. Glaze was then used to add color to these fun ceramic snowmen.
