

Nov 2025: Frida Kahlo-inspired Still Life with Ms. Tricia
We studied Frida Kahlo and her art. We talked about the shapes of fruit, foreground and background. We used texture rollers to apply tempura paint and oil pastels to create a colorful still life. Most students used fruit templates that I made for them to trace and used adaptive scissors to cut the fruit out. The fruit was added with glue and pastels were encouraged to add outlines, highlights and more layers.


Nov 2025: Art Activities with Mr. Jason
I am happy to share with you what we have been up to in Mr. Jason’s Adaptive Art class this Autumn! High School students created these amazing “Concentric Circles” using paint and torn paper. We also designed our own robots to the music of Mr. Roboto by the band, Styx. Elementary students created cobwebs using marbles and paint in a “shake box”. Once our cobwebs were dry, we added cotton ghosts and sponge print spiders. We also made “A pumpkin in the meadow” and learned about
