We have been learning about Paul Klee in all levels. This included color mixing, primary and secondary colors, shapes and overlapping.

My students studied the work of Wyane Theibaud. Theibaud is a painter best known for his striking and colorful cakes and pastries as well as modern commercial goods. While associated with the pop art movement he never considered himself to be a part. For him his choice of subject matter was about form and color, not social commentary. Our students then used paint to create their own donuts in Theibaud's style with their own unique designs.
