

Oct 2025-Owl Collages with Ms. Ashley
In Ms. Ashley’s Adaptive Art class, PSE students are learning about NEUTRAL COLORS and the season AUTUMN (or Fall). Students used the “pinch and tear” technique to create neutral-colored feathers for the oval-shaped body of their baby owl. During the second session for this project, students explored multiple co.llage techniques to add characteristics to their owl, create a night sky, and an autumn tree branch. We also read the story Little Owl’s Night by Divya Srinivasan


Oct 2025-Hispanic Heritage Month Picasso with Mr. Rob
In high school we learned about Pablo Picasso for Hispanic Heritage Month. We looked at a world map to find Spain and saw a musical video celebrating Hispanic Culture. We learned about Picasso and his use of the Bull as a motif in his work. Students selected complementary colors and geometric shapes a la Cubism to make the head of a Cow/Bull. The class also explored tints and shades by adding black and white to their color choices.


Special Olympics with Mr. Don
On Tuesday 9/30 special Olympics for elementary softball was held. We at adaptive art had a table set up as a station so the students could relax from the games and participate in some creativity. Good times were had by all.
