Flowers and Bunnies with Ms. Wendy
Welcome to May! Summer is just around the corner!
In PreK inclusion, we are all about the flowers this month! This beautiful project was inspired by Andy Warhol’s Hibiscus screen-prints. We stamped, traced, cut, and glued our way through this colorful collage lesson.
The PreK inclusion cherry blossom lesson involved tempera sticks for the branches and torn, then squished pink tissue paper for the tiny blooms.
The MID classes learned about implied texture while creating these cute bunnies. This collage lesson involved looking at images of real bunnies and paintings of bunnies. Students traced and cut out the bunnies and used tempera sticks, oil pastels, and cotton for both visual and real texture. Fringing the grass helped develop snipping skills and added more texture.
