Feb 2025: Hot Cocoa Cup Mixed Media Relief Sculptures with Ms. Melissa

Elementary students first mixed tempera paint colors to create beautiful painted papers. Next, they explored a variety of printmaking and stamping techniques to stamp on top of their painted papers. Students then learned about sculpture and when they attached their "mug" paper to their background collage, the papers were bent to create a relief. Students then added an extra 3-D element of "steam" using batting attached with glue.
