KSE looked at several cut paper designs of Henri Matisse.

The students painted their papers with white paint and found objects. The next week they folded their papers and cut symmetrical trees. They used both pieces of paper on their background and learned about positive and negative space.

PreK students learned about artist and illustrator Charlie Harper. They looked at many images of Harpers birds and Nature.

They printed for a snowy background, used marble rolling with paint for the birch trees and construction paper for the cardinals.

Early finishers made creative choices with a Charlie Harper coloring sheet.
