Winter has Arrived!

To celebrate the new year and the winter cold, we made "shoe penguins" and "snow-fakes" at Campbell Elementary School.

First we talked about what penguins look like and where they live. Then we traced around our shoe and cut them out. We added an oval tummy, circle eyes, triangle feet and a rhombus beak. Lastly, we cut wings from the black paper leftover from cutting out the shoe shape.

The next week we watched a funny video about penguins. We saw that they live in cold places. So we made a snowscape habitat for our penguins and their friends. We dipped our finger in paint and printed snowflakes. Some students tried to make 100 snow dots! We glued our penguin friends playing in the snow.

Check out our winter wonderland!
